Cannabis Oil Extraction and Chemistry Technician

Acreage Pharms Ltd. – Peers, AB

Job Description

We are currently seeking an Oil Extraction and Chemistry Technician who will be responsible for operating the supercritical CO2 extractor, and packaging cannabis oil products.

This is a full-time position; days and hours may vary.

Duties and Responsibilities

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Follows all company standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Fills out paper work to comply with company SOPs and ACMPR requirements.
  • Operates CO2 extraction equipment.
  • Tests functional performance of the machine and reports any issues to the supervisor.
  • Follows Good Production Practices and maintains extraction equipment and glassware by cleaning, washing, and sterilizing as per SOPs.
  • Enters all activities into Record Keeping Software.
  • Works with the Quality Assurance team to submit samples for analysis.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Degree or diploma in Chemical Technology, Lab Technology or a related field.
  • Knowledge of laboratory safety and equipment.
  • Experience with supercritical CO2 extraction equipment and procedures.
  • Good mathematical skills.
  • A background in Organic Science would be an asset.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Willingness to relocate, possession of a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation
  • Strong computer skills (i.e. MS Word, Excel, etc.).

Sales Manager

Acreage Pharms Ltd. – Peers, AB

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Sales Manager who will be responsible for coordinating the purchasing of product form potential suppliers. The Sales Manager will handle the sale of dried cannabis, seeds, and other products to licensed producers and licensed distributors Canada wide and internationally.

This is a full-time position; days and hours may vary.

Duties and Responsibilities

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Develop and recommend sales strategies, including sales volume and profit forecasts for the company.
  • Oversee business development to assess all opportunities and create a strategic sales strategy.
  • Achieve revenue, market share and profit objectives as well as other key financial metrics and sales-specific performance indicators.
  • Be proficient in all APL products.
  • Seek new opportunities to increase brand exposure and volume.
  • Other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years previous sales experience is required.
  • Must be able to pass RCMP background check and Health Canada Security Clearance.
  • Knowledge of the ACMPR preferred.
  • Experience with records management, document retention and policy.
  • Innovative approach to problem solving.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.

Cultivation Assistant

Job Description

We are currently seeking Cultivation Assistants to join our team.

This is a full-time position; days and hours may vary.

Duties and Responsibilities

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Work with the Head Grower in all required cultivation activities including propagation, transplanting, irrigation, fertilizer application, pest management, plant health checks, sanitation, documentation, harvesting, trimming, drying, and curing.
  • All activities will be in accordance with Good Production Practices.
  • Enters all activities into Record Keeping Software.

Job Requirements

  • Two years greenhouse and/or Horticulture or equivalent working experience is an asset.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Working knowledge of the ACMPR is an asset.
  • Ability to pass RCMP background check.
  • Physically able to perform cultivation duties.
  • Flexibility of schedule depending on production needs.
  • Willingness to relocate, possession of a valid driver’s licence and reliable transportation.

Security Guard

Job Description

Casual part-time to fill sick days and holidays for full time positions. As needed the potential shifts are:

Weekdays: 8:30AM to 4:30PM (8hrs), 4:30PM to 12:30AM (8hrs), and 12:30AM to 8:30AM (8hrs)

Weekends: 8:30AM to 8:30PM (12hrs), and 8:30PM to 8:30AM (12hrs)

Duties and Responsibilities

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Monitoring Cameras during entire shift
  • Observing and documenting facility activities for compliance with company standard operating procedures (SOP's) and all applicable laws
  • Reporting any safety hazards to the supervisor and the facility manager immediately
  • Patrolling interior and exterior areas of the facility
  • Following all company (SOPs), and helping to improve security, safety and emergency preparedness
  • Answering phones with a high degree of professionalis
  • Other duties as required

Job Description

Temporary Watch Person to monitor, patrol the perimeter of the construction site on an hourly basis, during nights, from the cessation of regular construction work until resumption of work the following morning and at all times which construction is suspended. As needed the shifts are:

Weeknights: 4:30 PM to 12:00 AM (7-1/2hrs), 12:00 AM to 7:30 AM (7-1/2hrs)

Weekends: 8:30 AM to 8:30 PM (12hrs), and 8:30 PM to 8:30 AM (12hrs)

Duties and Responsibilities

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Monitoring walking perimeter of construction site;
  • Observing and documenting site activities for compliance with company standard operating procedures;
  • Reporting any safety hazards to the supervisor and the project manager immediately;
  • Patrolling interior and exterior areas of the facility;
  • Following all company (SOPs), and helping to improve security, safety and emergency preparedness;
  • Answering phones with a high degree of professionalism; and
  • Hot work monitoring;
  • Fire suppression response, event of an emergency;
  • Other duties as required.

We are currently seeking a Light Duty Cleaner in Peers, AB. This position will start as a Full-time position.

Duties and Responsibilities

This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Sweeping, mopping and dusting;
  • disinfecting bathroom and kitchen fixtures and appliances;
  • clean changing rooms and showers;
  • emptying trash containers;
  • washing walls;
  • laundry;
  • mixing chemical cleaners;
  • following all company SOPs;
  • other duties as required.

Job Requirements

  • Must be able to pass an RCMP background check;
  • self motivated, able to follow schedules without direct supervision;
  • completes daily and weekly custodial checklists as assigned and scheduled;
  • work conditions and physical capabilities;
  • attention to detail, bending, crouching and kneeling; and
  • must have own transportation.
