What are the new Cannabis Act rules for the Province or Territory where I live?

Many of the laws around the distribution, possession, and sale of cannabis differ from province to province. A brief summary of the rules can be found at Cannabis in the provinces and territories, on the Health Canada website.

How can I become an Acreage Pharms Client?

Registration with Acreage Pharms is open to any individual who ordinarily resides in Canada and provides the appropriate medical document signed by a health care practitioner. You will also be required to fill out and submit a Registration Application Form which can be found on our website or you can contact our client care center at 1-888-386-0149 and we can provide you with one. Upon approval, a patient will have a unique ID number generated to place orders online or via phone.

Are you licensed?

Acreage Pharms is proud to be a federally licensed producer of medical cannabis. You can confirm our license status on Health Canada’s list of Authorized Licensed Producers of Cannabis for Medical Purposes. Acreage Pharms currently has licenses to both cultivate and to sell medical cannabis.

Can I travel with my medical cannabis?

Travelling with medical cannabis is permitted within Canada. Be sure to carry your registration documentation and store your cannabis in its original prescription bottle. If you’re flying, call the airline ahead of time to ensure you won’t run into any security delays.

How can I submit my registration application?

You can submit your registration application through email, fax or mail. You will also need to submit the original copy of the medical document (prescription). You can have your health care practitioner fax us directly (1-888-693-0150) or you can mail the original to:

How much medical cannabis can I possess?

The possession limit of either 30 times the daily quantity of dried cannabis indicated by your healthcare practitioner on your medical document, or 150 grams of dried cannabis, whichever is less.

Does cannabis have an expiry date?

Health Canada does not require an expiry date to be included on bottles of medical cannabis. Currently, no definitive expiry date has been established.

Can I register with multiple Licensed Producers?

Yes. You are allowed to register with more than one Licensed Producer. However, you would have to have separate original medical documents for each Licensed Producer. You can not apply to multiple Licensed Producers using the same medical document.

What form of payments do you accept?

Acreage Pharms accepts all major credit cards, Visa Debit, and pre-paid Mastercard or Visa. Interac is not accepted.

Do I pay sales tax on my order?

Either GST or HST is paid, based on the province in which you reside. Provincial sales taxes are not paid.

How do I order my medical cannabis?

Once you are a registered patient with us you can access our online store through our website, or you can call our customer care center at 1-888-386-0149. Please note, you will need your unique ID we provided you upon your registration approval to order on our online shop or via phone.

Does my insurance cover medical cannabis?

We recommend you check with your provider regarding coverage for medical cannabis. At this time, Acreage Pharms is unable to direct bill to private and provincial plans with the exception of Veterans Affairs Canada. Also, medical cannabis may be claimed as a medical expense for tax purposes.

How long will it take to process my order?

Please allow for 1 to 2 business days for your order to be processed and shipped. At Acreage Pharms we have client care staff that work hard to fulfil every request as quickly as possible. There are multiple steps in processing an order and we take great care in making sure these are met.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Once the order process is complete we will send you a confirmation email with a tracking number. Delivery time is expected to be within 1-3 business days. However, delivery is dependent on carrier and location. Please remember that most couriers deliver only on weekdays, and do not deliver on the weekend. They also do not deliver on public holidays, so please remember to place your order accordingly.

How long is my medical document valid?

Your medical document is valid for the duration specified by your health care professional, starting from the day it was signed. This can be up to, but no longer than one year.

Do you offer compassionate care pricing?

Acreage Pharms offers a 20% Compassionate Care Discount for those living with an income under $30,000 per year. All we need to process the discount is your most recent NOA (Notice Of Assessment) from the CRA for the last taxation year. This discount will be automatically applied to your account. Please note Acreage Pharms will require you to annually submit your most recent NOA. For more information about applying for compassionate care pricing, please email or call 1-888-386-0149.

How much does shipping cost?

For orders sent through Canada Post Xpress and costing $100 or less, there is a $15 flat shipping rate. Canada Post Xpress orders above $100 ship Canada-wide for free. If you require a different courier service, please contact Acreage Pharms Customer Care for cost and availability.
